What is the effect of the made-in-Europe bonus?

The bonus for investment subsidies is regulated by the Renewable Development Act (EAEC) in Austria. The EAEC is Austria's law for the energy transition. It sets the path to 100 percent green electricity in 2030.

If products from Europe are used in new solar power plants, there are higher funding rates. This means: growth opportunities for Austrian and European model companies, long-term secure supply chains and the creation of new, sustainable jobs.

The amount of the bonus on top of the funding amount depends on how many European components are installed in the construction of the PV system.
Depending on how many European components are used, the bonus will amount to up to 20 percent of the funding.
